  5. Sounds to me like SL is yet another scapegoat. (Politicians–mostly–don’t want to fix anything. They just want it to LOOK like they are. And picking a scapegoat is the easiest way to look like you’re DOING something. Idiot.)

    And I had no idea (not being a SL’er myself) that…uh…people were so hard-up they would settle for virtual…porn? So sad.

  6. LAWL. I remember when I was as shocked as Wynne about the pixel porn thing. Oooooh-ee! Do I have some stories for you. They actually have a virtual red light district (http://metaverse.acidzen.org/2008/red-light-district)and the female avatars are WAY pushier than the horndog males who are just annoying perverted little gnats.

  8. There’s an actual district?? Hell, I see pixelhookers everyplace, half the profiles for female avs claim employment as some type of “escort”.

    The best part is that most of ‘em are probably hairy fortyish dudes who live in their moms’ basements.

    Normal people in Second Life are as rare as, uh, well- something very rare! (I haven’t had my coffee yet. Shut up.)
