About that “arrrrrrrrrrgggghhh!!” thing…

Okay, here’s the deal.

I got mobilized.

But they had a bad address for me, so I never got my orders.

I got a horrifying email with many unpleasant words like “failure to follow a lawful order during a time of war” and I went into “arrrrrrrrrrgggghhh” mode. Made a call, sent an email, stewed in my gastric juices all weekend- and heard back today.

Occasionally the Army is understanding.

So I have now got piles of paperwork and such to cope with, but at least the scariest part is solved.

I’d rather get a tan again than to be involuntarily, undesirably let out of my remaining contract.

It’s fairly unlikely, given my situation, that I will have to do that- but I will keep you, my three readers, posted.

  1. Jesus! Glad everything worked out okay (so far.) You’re too pretty for Federal Prison.

  2. It’s not that scandalous! LOL

Yeah, once in a great freakin’ while. Glad to hear you got it straightened out, as I’m inclined to second Wyatt’s sentiments. Oh yeah, and welcome to the ranks of the mobilized.

  4. Understanding in the Military is a failure in the mission. Having worked FOR the Navy for 15 years before changing to the Civilian agencies, I learned that long ago.

    Best Wishes and God’s Speed.

I find it odd that being mobilized is less stressful than a correspondence Gaff.

  5. Haha! You got called odd.
You go be mobilized all you want, just send your children to my house. I will throw Abby out in the backyard and turn the basement into a wild animal rec room. Plus, we have plenty of bedrooms for however many you feel like shipping to me. So do it…now..give me the adorable children.

  6. There will be no shipping of babies, you crazy pirate! You go collect someone else’s rugrats!

  7. She can have mine.

And “mobilized?” I am so military-stupid. So, they send you wheels? Like…roller skates? And if you don’t skate they throw you in jail?

    Civilian? Who, me?
